Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you buy from raw-grip.co.uk. Please read them before you order. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.

1. About us

Raw Grip is a small UK business run by a sole trader based in England. You can contact us at info@raw-grip.co.uk or Phone: 0333 369 0026.

2. Our products

We sell hand-made natural stone grip trainers fitted with M8 threaded bar and a lifting eye nut: The Load Stone (£45). It's the only stone we sell at the moment. More stones are coming soon.
Multi-buy: 2 Load Stones cost £85, 3 cost £125 and 4 cost £160. Your basket shows the saving before you pay.
Every stone is uniquely crafted. Because each one is natural stone, the colour, stone type, shape, size and texture vary. Photos and sizes show the style of each stone, not the exact one you'll receive.
The Load Stone comes in one size, approx 150 x 100 x 80mm. Each stone varies by about ±15mm, because every stone is natural. Custom stones are quoted and agreed separately by email.

3. Ordering and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Postage is added at checkout.
You pay by card or wallet (such as Apple Pay) through Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
Your order is accepted when we send your order confirmation. If we can't fulfil an order, for example because we run out of stock, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
If we make an obvious pricing mistake, we'll contact you before dispatch and you can choose to cancel for a full refund.

4. Discount codes

From time to time we or our partners may share discount codes. Codes can only be used at checkout, one per order, can't be swapped for cash or added after you've paid, and can be withdrawn at any time without affecting orders already placed.

5. Delivery

Our website checkout delivers to UK addresses, by Royal Mail Tracked 48.
US orders: email info@raw-grip.co.uk with what you'd like and your address, and we'll reply with the exact postage cost and a payment link. Any import duties or taxes charged in your country are your responsibility unless we tell you otherwise.
Postage is £4.95 for one stone and £9.95 for two to four stones, sent in one parcel. Ordering 5 or more stones? Email info@raw-grip.co.uk for a postage quote.
We aim to ship within 3 days of your order. This is an aim, not a guarantee, and dispatch times can vary when we're busy.
Delivery usually takes 2 to 3 working days once your order has been dispatched. Remote areas, such as the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland and offshore islands, may take a little longer.
We'll always deliver within 30 days of your order unless we agree otherwise with you. If your order is delayed beyond 30 days, you're entitled to a full refund.
The stone is your responsibility once it's delivered to you or to someone you've nominated.

6. 90 day money back guarantee, cancellations and returns

90 day money back guarantee: if you're not happy with a standard stone, return it within 90 days of delivery and we'll refund the price you paid for the stone. Email us first for a returns address. Return postage is your cost, and the original postage isn't refunded under this guarantee. Custom stones aren't covered unless faulty. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights.

You can also cancel and return an unused standard stone within 14 days of receiving it. Custom stones can't be returned unless faulty. If a stone is faulty or damaged, you're covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Full details are in our returns policy. Stones are also covered by our 10 year guarantee below.

7. Our 10 year guarantee

If one of our stones fails under normal, recommended use within 10 years of delivery, we will replace it with a new stone free of charge, and we always pay the postage both ways.

Recommended use means hanging weight up to the stated max load, lifted and lowered normally, using the stone as intended for grip training.
What it doesn't cover: misuse, overloading beyond the stated max load, dropping or throwing the stone, deliberate damage, or normal wear.
Your replacement will be a stone of similar size and type. Every stone is natural, so it won't be identical.
How to claim: stop using the stone and email info@raw-grip.co.uk with your order details and a photo of the problem. We'll send you a prepaid label for the failed stone and post your replacement free.
This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and doesn't affect them.

8. Safe use

Grip training with weight carries a risk of injury. By using a Raw Grip stone you agree to use it sensibly.

Check before every use. Look over the stone, eye nut and fitting each session. Don't use it if the stone is cracked or chipped near the fitting, or if the eye nut or threaded bar is loose or the eye has opened up.
Max load. The max load for The Load Stone is 100kg. This is the most we recommend, for a new, undamaged stone with a steady, straight-down pull. Side loading, swinging, dropping or jerking the weight puts far more force on the fitting, so stay well under the max load and build up gradually.
Use rated kit. Use a carabiner and loading pin rated for the load you're using.
Train safely. Train over a soft surface, keep your feet and others clear of the drop zone.
Don't modify it. Don't re-drill, re-glue, heat or alter the stone or fitting, and don't use it for anything other than grip training (for example climbing protection, lifting machinery or anchoring).
Speak to a doctor first if you have an injury or health condition.
Keep stones away from children.

9. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
We don't exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
We are not responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by misuse, by ignoring the safe use guidance above, by loading a stone beyond its max load, by using a damaged stone, or by modifying it.
Our products are for personal use. We are not liable for any business losses.
Apart from the above, our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it.

10. Your privacy

When you order, we collect your name, email, delivery address and, if you give it, your phone number. Stripe handles your payment securely and shares your order details with us.
We use your details only to process, deliver and support your order, including passing your name and address to Royal Mail for delivery. We don't sell your data or send you marketing emails unless you've asked for them.
If you leave a review, we keep the name and review you send us.
We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting (normally 6 years).
Our website is hosted by Netlify, which records basic visitor statistics.
We collect anonymous, cookie-free stats (where visitors come from, time on page and scroll depth) to improve the site.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing info@raw-grip.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

11. Reviews

Reviews appear on our website straight away. Please only leave a review if you've bought or used one of our stones. We don't hide reviews just because they're negative.
Reviews with links, swearing, spam or personal details such as phone numbers or email addresses can't be posted. We may remove reviews that are fake, offensive, unlawful, spam, or contain personal details. We won't change what you've written.
By sending a review, you agree we can show it, with the name you gave, on our website and social media.

12. Other terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in place when you ordered apply to your order.
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of the country where you live.
